Simple Syrup Recipe

Are you ready for this? It's as easy as boil and set aside.

If you can’t completely omit sugar from your diet yet, this is a great way to get your palate used to or adhering to flavors instead. One of the key factors of a plant-based diet is how you notice different senses in food without the substitutes that can be so harmful to your body in the long run.

I struggled with the recipes I had to put together for my book. Am I creating the right time, the right measurements? However, you really can't go wrong with this.

Ingredients

1/2 cup sugar (You're supposed to add 1 part water and 1 part sugar but I like to limit my sugar consumption.)

1 cup water

Bring to a boil.

Set aside and let it cool.

*You can add your favorite herbs while it cools to steep. Add mint, rosemary, fennel, dried roses, etc. Remove after about 5 minutes and you have flavored sugar water.

Add to a flask or bottle and store in the refrigerator.

Voila!
