St. Helena – Napa
Goose and Gander – I like their bar downstairs for a nightcap but darn! They’re temporarily closed for now at least until the end of March. I recommended it once and they said the bar was “perfect” but it’s closed. The patio seating area looks nice even though we sat inside a few years ago. The food was ok – don’t remember the dinner much but I took a photo of my herbed drink. Their steak looks delicious on their site.
Farmstead Restaurant at Longwoods Ranch – Good enough to have eaten here twice. It’s very busy and their food is fantastic.
Gillwood’s Café – quaint and nice but not sure where they’re sitting everyone these days. If you don’t want to be bothered with YouTubers filming themselves, this is the place for you.
Mid Napa
Bistro Don Giovanni – Good Italian dinner spot in the heart of the Valley and right off Hwy 29.
La Luna Market and Taqueria – If you need a quick grease fix, this is it. Walk into the store and go to the back counter and order to your hearts content. Nothing fancy but that’s what you might want after drinking way too many. It’s just right up the road from Caymus too in a small Mexican market.
Rutherford Grill – If you’re a fan of Houston’s you’ll like this place even though you may not want to go here if you’re already familiar, but maybe you will. Same owners.
Bottega - I’ve not been here but I’ve been wanting to come here for a long time and it has great reviews. What more can you ask for but big bold Italian flavors with big bold Napa cabs?
Downtown Napa
Oxbow Market – This place is becoming the place to go. Great place for a variety of different food and gifts.
II Posto Trattoria – My sister raved about this place. She said the Italian food here was very good.
Genova Delicatessen – A fantastic place to pick up a sandwich.
Cole’s Chop House – This is a good spot for steak.
We still have places yet to discover in Calistoga that I’d love to share more about. Stay tuned for that. Let me know if you can add anything to these places or add to this list below!
Cheers!
