Virtual Workers Needed

What a time to have a lot of conversations with friends and family. Right now is a great time to readjust, refocus and have the time to meditate like never before to evaluate a deep soul search.

During a conversation with a friend, I was asked which industries need virtual assistants.

The answer is simple. What are you good at?

Take some time to write a list of all the things you’re really good at and start to form a game plan. Who needs what you can offer?

Now go target them.

Who is your audience?

Who is your audience?

As a product of an ever-changing world in marketing, I’ve learned many different industries which has enabled me to find what I’ve really enjoyed.

For example, I love operating our vacation rental in Sonoma County, CA. How rewarding it’s been to run a successful vacation home where I can show off my hospitality. Having a gift of hospitality is just one of the great qualities you can have when trying to run a vacation home or B&B.

Here is our cozy family room! There is enough room to fit 6 comfortably to eat or watch TV. For more info: www.SonomaCounty.com/lodging/sonoma-wine-nest

Here are some questions you can ask yourself when trying to find work for yourself:

·      What are you good at that not a lot of people know how to do?

Whether it’s a skill, a trade or even something that comes naturally to you. Are you good at putting outfits together? Do you like to cook? Read? Do you like to be around a lot of people? What kind of people do you like to be around? I love interior design and having this skill has helped other vacation home owners how to make a rental cozy and comfortable.

·      What do you like doing the most?

The worst thing I’ve seen people do is working at a job they not only hate but don’t even like to be doing. I’ve been there a few times! Do you like working alone or with others on a team? What inspires you the most? Sometimes it takes for you to take inventory and thought on this before diving in that next job. I sure wish I’d considered this many times.

·      What are you capable of doing right now?

Sure, you want to be a TV producer someday but where are you right now that if you needed to start making money TODAY, you have the ability to do so. Do you have access to only your smartphone or a whole office of equipment? What kind of inventory do you have right now that you can use? Do you need to take inventory?

·      How much do you want to make?

Don’t kid yourself when you’re trying to come up with this number. Take how much you need to make, add how much you’d like to make and then add what you would be making in a dream job. Use that last number as a goal and start setting your goals. Maybe you need to work on your mindset?

·      Who do you know?

Have you heard, it’s not what you know but who you know? It’s true. Start networking with those you know by telling them you’re looking for work; who do they know who is looking for someone? Who knows? The person you need to be connected with is only a few people away from those you know.
